Yesterday, mom & dad gain very little success in inviting Chi to participate in to activities. Still have problem with setting limit, talk too much, using instruction sentence...
1. Clean up toys
Starting: Chi opened the bag of toys, putting them in a chair & go away. Mom said if you go away, I will clean up.
Patterns: Chi give mom toys & mom put toys in bag
Variation: different ways of receiving toys, low hand, high hand.
2. Folding clothes
Failure in inviting & Chi was not ready. Mom did it alone & making different sounds. Trying to engage Chi as a watcher.
3. Break egg in to a bow
Failure in inviting & Chi was not ready. Mom gave up. Trying to engage Chi as a watcher.
4. Clean up dinner table
4.1. heaping up dirty bows on the table.
Again, Chi was not ready, run back and forth along the line of chairs in the dinning room. sometime watching, sometime not. Mom could not invite Chi to participate. So mom try to slow down & look at Chi. Trying to engage Chi in the activities as a watcher.
4.2. bring dirty bows into the sink
Chi was not ready, again run back & forth a long the line of chairs. Mom & Dad decided to engage Chi as a watcher: mom gave bow to dad & making sound.
Later on: Chi participated by making sound with Dad: sound "Poop" = hand over a bow from mom to dad.
Variation: slowing down handing over.
Role of Chi: watcher & making sound
Dad was quite upset because dad could not invite Chi to participate with him. Dad's intention was to wash bows with Chi :-)
5. Walking
Mom realize that it is very difficult to co-regulation three people at the same time: Chi, dad & mom LOL Problem is that mom & dad wanted to be the guide at the same time. so it is difficult to have 2 guides at once LOL
Variation: small steps, big steps, slow steps, fast steps.
Lesson: One guide at once !
